Hannah officially hit the road today! She passed her driver's license road test and is now a licensed driver. As soon as she got home, she wasted no time heading to school by herself to finish the last full day of her sophomore year. Now, two of the four grandchildren are on the road. It won't be long until all of them are, though! Megan can get her permit in two months, and Brody six months after that. So, by August 2026, it's highly likely all four will be driving.

Frank and I left Salamanca around 10 am and followed the Allegheny River towards home. We saw some great scenery, looking over the Allegheny Reservoir. We saw a newly born deer and a porcupine. We stopped and spent some time at the Kinzua Dam. This is the 50th anniversary of the opening of the dam. It is one of the largest dams on this side of the Mississippi River. I got home in time to mow and to make it to Hannah and Brody's T-Ball game.

Here are three noteworthy baseball highlights for today. Shohei Ohtani leads the Major Leagues with 20 home runs and has also contributed 11 stolen bases. Cal Raleigh leads the American League in home runs with 19. Additionally, one of my favorite players, José Ramírez, is currently on an impressive 20-game hitting streak. During this streak, the Guardians' third baseman is hitting .380 with 4 home runs and 11 RBIs.
